Work directly with our dog training instructor, Mary Kline, to help dogs and their owners form stronger bonds! Mary teaches basic manners and commands, and leash skills. Supervisor volunteers assist the instructor by greeting participants, prepping and handing out materials, monitoring puppies and owners during class, and assisting with training exercises as needed. Animal handling and dog training experience is highly preferred, but is not required. The instructor is willing to train the right person.
Class is from 1-2 pm on Saturdays. Volunteers must arrive 15 minutes early to set up and stay after to help clean up.
Volunteers in this role must:
- be on time
- be able to take direction from the instructor
- have good people skills
- have the ability/comfort level to potentially lead exercises/give instructions when asked
