Who We Are

Pet Resource Center of Kansas City (formerly Spay and Neuter Kansas City) was founded in 2002 and is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. PRCKC is the only targeted spay neuter program in the Greater Kansas City area working to help all families in need regardless of financial means. Our unique approach is to provide exceptional customer service and high standards of care through commitment to our core values.

Our Mission

Keeping Pets And People Together!

What We Do

We provide spay/neuter services, a Wellness Care Clinic offering affordable preventive care (annual vaccines, puppy/kitten boosters, microchipping, heartworm and feline combo testing, parasite prevention), daytime urgent care, dentals, and outreach services including a Pet Food Pantry. Volunteers make the scope of our work possible. We hope you'll join us!

We offer a wide variety of individual and group volunteer opportunities. Please note, you must be at least 14 years old to volunteer independently, and must be at least 16 years old for most outreach opportunities. We do accept volunteers in need of school-related or court-ordered community service hours -- though volunteers can not have a record including violent crime or theft.
